Big announcement for the little data collector in you!
Besides my and Stefanie’s latest book - Observe, Collect, Draw! - A Visual Journal, I am excited to present a fun experiment I did with my friends at Corraini Edizioni.
As part of their Designer Stamps collection, I’ve created DATA SELFIES: a code to creatively record our days and photograph the patterns of everyday life
How? The symbols on the stamps form an alphabet whose key is not given at the start but must be invented: anyone can turn their hand to data collection (ideas, emotions, desires…), create a custom code and experiment with variations and colored inks.
In addition to the stamps, the kit includes an instruction booklet and five cards with grids on to start using the stamps, and there is space on the back to write down one’s own key.
